Kirklees Hall was built in the 16th century and is a Grade 1 listed building.  The Hall and its grounds are situated near the village of Clifton in West Yorkshire and are now a collection of luxury residences.




The Hall and gardens have always been a private estate and, as such, entry is restricted.  This private access and the fact that the estate is surrounded by woodland, means that the Hall is rarely seen by the general public.  In fact, unless you live in the area, you would never know that such an historic building existed, especially as you drive past it on the M62.

In view of this, the current residents have created this site to let everyone see how special this ancient Hall, and its parkland, are.
